Player/Parent Info
As a lacrosse family, we all play a role in fostering a positive environment. Parents are expected to support players by encouraging effort over outcome, modelling respectful behaviour toward coaches, referees, and other families, and promoting good sportsmanship. We ask parents to ensure their child attends practices and games on time, communicates with coaches, and respects team decisions. Most importantly, we all share the responsibility to keep the game fun, safe, and inclusive for every player.
We follow the Rule of Two to ensure a safe environment for all athletes. This means a coach is never alone one-on-one with a player—there will always be another coach or screened adult present. If a player is injured, parents can expect timely communication from the coaching staff. If needed, we’ll ensure the player gets immediate attention and keep you informed about next steps—whether that’s a rest period or a return-to-play plan. Safety is always our priority.
We follow a 24-hour rule after games. If you have concerns or questions for the coaches, we ask that you wait a full day before reaching out. This cooling-off period ensures conversations happen calmly and productively. After 24 hours, feel free to contact the coach to discuss any concerns or feedback in a respectful and constructive way.
