Sixes is an incredibly fast-paced, compact version of lacrosse, combining the most exciting elements of the more traditional disciplines. It is characterized by an accelerated, open style of play with quick transitions and non-stop, high-scoring action. It was created in 2018 to accelerate global growth, increase accessibility and approachability, create greater competitive balance, and reduce cost and complexity of participation and event staging. It is the next-generation version of the game.

A natural evolution of the sport, Sixes is at the intersection of field and box lacrosse, offering an inclusive opportunity to all existing lacrosse players and an easier entry point for new athletes.  

Games are played under World Lacrosse Sixes rules, consisting of four quarters of 8 minutes running time each. Teams require a legally equipped goalie and five runners to start a game. The full rulebook can be found here.

 The OLA SIXES lacrosse program is open for registration. The cost is $200 per player. We hope to get the community out to enjoy this style of Lacrosse. SIXES will be in the next summer Olympics and is a great way to introduce lacrosse to new players of the game, and a great game for those who love lacrosse. Pre-register in the form below so we can adjust teams as needed. This form will show us the interest in the community and help to get coaches set up for the season. We will run a practice every week on a weeknight, then attend mini tournament-style events on the weekend. We will be accepting forms for Coaches and Trainers for those who would like to be a part of the Wolfpack family.
